Jean-Michel
Maulpoix was born November 11, 1952 in Montbeliard, France. He
is the author of no fewer than twenty-five French collections
of poetry in blank verse fragments and in prose, along with thirteen
volumes of essay and criticism. He is director of the quarterly
literary journal Le Nouveau Recueil and a professor of
modern and contemporary poetry at the University Paris X-Nantere.

Translator
Dawn Cornelio received her PhD in French from the University of
Connecticut where she wrote her thesis on translating Jean-Michel
Maulpoix. She has published numerous translations in literary
journals and since 2002 has been assistant professor of French
Studies at the University of Guelph in Ontario.
